Sudbury Real Estate
Sitting just north of popular Framingham lies Sudbury. A town steeped in rich history that coincidentally has the distinct 01776 zip code. Perhaps Sudbury’s most notable and historic landmarks is the Wayside Inn, said to be one of the oldest inns in the country. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote “Tales of The Wayside Inn” which was a collection of poems that included one about Paul Revere’s famous ride. The inn was once owned by the famous Henry Ford, who purchased it in the 1920’s and had lovingly restored it.
Today, the old town’s center continues to reflect the history and preserved character of yesteryear. Churches and town buildings still stand and have been maintained with their original charm. Sudbury’s 1 acre zoning laws have also helped keep the rural-like environment and has played an important part in making the town one of the most affluent in the state. This, combined with preserved wetlands, sprawling conservation land, restricted commercial growth and an excellent school system has led Sudbury to be a highly desirable town to live in.
